Upper Chesapeake Medical Center: "4 hours and 8 mins is way wrong it’s a 13 hour wait right now . My fiancé has stage 4 triple negative break cancer , was give less then 2 weeks to live , is on home hospice and needs her stomach drained from her liver failing until they put the permanent drain in on Tuesday April 2nd 2024 and we have been here since 5am and it’s 9:27am and she should of been called back there due to her being a high priority cancer patient with a weakened immune system where she could potentially catch something by even sitting in the waiting room. It’s absolutely insane and bulls***. " - Bradley

Upper Chesapeake Medical Center: "We’ve been waiting for 5 hours (and counting) for a doctor to see our 1 yr old that got sprayed in the eyes with household cleanser. We were told an hour ago that we were next to be seen by the doctor, yet, 10 minutes later we were told by a different nurse that they called and were waiting for a doctor. EITHER WAY we are still waiting with a baby that can’t open their eyes. " - SC

Upper Chesapeake Medical Center: "Couldn't get past how rude the ER representative was on the phone prior to taking my 94 YO mother possible life threatening condition. Still playing the covid game even if you have POA and patient is able to communicate effectively. Re-routed to different hospital!!" - Dawn

Upper Chesapeake Medical Center: "My 89-yr mother is currently in a 6-hr waiting period, just to see a doctor...if she survives. I've seen plenty of comments and I'm not interested. Comments are like ERs, every place has one. My issue is that I have yet to hear a valid and reasonable explanation for the backup. It can't be the nursing staff, they are the best...overworked and stressed, but professionals. Can't be the doctors, competent or not, the salaries are too high for them to jeopardize their commission. Can't be the overflow of patients, that's been going on since long before Covid. No, must be management, protocols, non-human and inhuman intervention. If someone can arrive at a more reasonable explanation as to why, in today's day and age, where technology breakthroughs are the norm, diagnosis and care couldn't be better, just why is there a complete breakdown in providing emergency care to the community, especially after multi-million dollar investments in facilities, equipment and brick and mortar services. This isn't political, it's madness. " - Patrick

Upper Chesapeake Medical Center: "Patient First sent me to the emergency room at Upper Chesapeake with pneumonia, covid 19, 103 fever and a cough that just wouldn't quit. After nine hour wait to see a doctor, he gave me a prescription for codeine and sent me home. I left and went to G.B.M.C. with the same symptoms and within one hour was admitted, given a cat scan to make sure no clots were developing in my lungs, and put on 4 liters of oxygen to help my breathing. After five days in the hospital I was OK to go home. The doctors and nurses at GBMC really cared about getting me well. Not so @ Upper Chesapeake. They just didn't care. Amazeingly,Upper Chesapeake checked me out at 6 ft 1 in tall. I cant believe I grew another 3 inches in just 9 hours!" - Walt

Upper Chesapeake Medical Center: "The wait time was impossible , let alone the two registration nurses who stand at the front booth get paid to stand and talk as they send people to the influenza area to charge their phone. Very unprofessional." - Lindsay

Upper Chesapeake Medical Center: "I've been sitting here over 4 hours in the waiting room with extreme pain, but if you come in with covid symptoms you get seen first...Ridiculous " - jessica
