Summa Health System Stories

Summa Health Systems Hospitals: "Had my daughter who is nonverbal and bedridden with dementia taken to Summa ER and they would not let me go back with her until a nice man at ER desk said come on I will take you to her. I am her only voice. Very unpleasant ER room. Not many choices in Akron for hospitals. Need to be rules for these types of patients. Lab girl stuck her several times, blood on sheets because I was not in there to help her and tell her to use a butterfly. Long night. Please change your policies!!!" - Erline

Summa Health Systems Hospitals: "Summa Hospital has had one of the worst sanitary records on the planet.
As a patient, I developed a staph infection.
My son, was in a room where the patient next to him who was mentally ill, peed on the floor and threw his diaper across the room. Summa didn't clean it up until I complained.
My brother was admitted for major surgery ins 2017 and I walked into his private room only to step over blood, syringes and dirty needles on his table, and feces on the floor.
This hospital is disgusting."
