Shelby Baptist Medical Center: "My son Carlton Cavender was taken to this dump because he was clinically dead 50 minutes without oxygen to his brain. They resuscitated him and he laid in a medically induced Coma on a ventilator for five days. On the sixth day they scaled back on the meds. He was agitated and confused. They medicated hi on the psycotic drug Haladol. He has brain damage to an extent. They kept him doped up that night where he defecated and urinated on him self and he was talking out of his head ready to leave. Nurses in MICU were hostile I witnessed vaping in the unit.i had to go to in house supervisor four times in seven days. On the seventh day he had to used the bathroom. They were Aggravated because the had to get help to take him to bathroom he kept telling him he had to go right then. As per usual they doped him with Haladol and pain medication to knock him out. They were not paying attention and he walked to the bathroom doped up. The nurse noticed it ran in the bathroom shoved him on the toilet and told him sit your ass down when he asked her why she shoved him she said so he would not fall four other nurses crowded in the bathroom all yelling because he was upset and doped up with brain damage and with Paranoid Delusions he thought they were going to hurt him some Doctor I've never seen came yelling at him and telling me they don't have to treat him. Took him by the elbow led him to the elevator while those nurses were laughing.. I do know that they have to monitor or have him monitored on Haladol.Meanwhile a Pshyc. Dr or nurse that came to test him. Said he was same. He gave them the wrong year, the wrong name of hospital and even wrong age of his child. Then a security staff member told us we had to leave the property because we had no car he carried us all the way to Arby's where we waited four hours for a ride as we live an hour and 39 minutes away. With no money.and no phone. Whithin one hour of us making it home my son had four seizures and his defibrillator shocked him ten times where he stopped breathing once again. The ambulance made it here quick and shocked him long enough to put the ventilator back in a coma and life flighted him to UAB. Here we go again because of a hospital staff that should be fired and a doctor that needs to be held accountable. People if you love your family don't bring them to Shelby County Medical Center. They should close down. All this happened to my child within four hours of being put out of a hospital. Doped up with no paperwork no prescriptions for seizures and I'm certain you can't just cut that kind of medicine off cold turkey. I'm not an Attorney so I'm not sure but my Attorney will let me know during normal business hrs. Tomorrow
morning."

Shelby Baptist Medical Center: "Wait time in ER is horrendous. Took 6 hours and my wife ended up having internal bleeding by the time they finally saw her. I watched an elderly woman with a TIA stroke wait for over 2 hours. Do not go here. Drive to another hospital." - Robert
