Progress West Hospital Stories

Progress West Healthcare Center: "Nobody in the ER does anything. People waiting hours and hours with no idea of when they’ll be seen. Shemale named Mariel smirked at me when I emphasized my risk of having a seizure- as if she’d be happy to see this happen- then spoke the words “I don’t care.” In the ER at 7pm and asked if I would still be there in the morning- nobody could answer this seemingly simple question. Twelve hours? A simple “probably not” or “unfortunately maybe” would suffice, but nope, nobody knows anything!
This is NOT typical of BJC. "

Progress West Healthcare Center: "I was so disappointed at this ER, when I first came in a man was on the floor in pain, another patient had to tell the desk, and his chair was right in front them, they seem to careless, I should have left then. I came in with chest pain and right arm change. I wasn't treated for my arm at all, pain more in my arm and several bruising on that arm they x-ray my chest and cat scanned my chest, I ask about the die going into that arm and my arm got worse and the pain, they game me pain meds, opioids and sent me home told by charge nurse I couldn't stay I was worse off leaving them when I came in, they actually laughed at my pain. Was there 6 hours saw Doctor a totally 2 times 5 min. I felt like my race played a part and that I was on disability. They shouldn't be in business the worse!!!" - Linda
