Highland Hospital: "- I took my 84 year old Mom to Highland Hospital Emergency Room for severe abdominal pain, severe back pain (she could barely walk) and possibly a mix up with her medications which was causing what appeared to me to be anxiety and extreme drowsiness issues on Tuesday 2/13/2018 night at 11:00 PM. The check in process was quick, but she did not get seen by the Doctor until the following day at 7AM. The team on said they had over thirty patients, only one doctor on site. We were also told a critical case came in and that is what caused the delay. I would think that at the point when they are at full capacity of patients and have a critical case that the protocol should be calling in another physician to see the other patients. There were certainly enough other staff on hand that could of made that determination. We will not be going back and would not recommend going to the Highland's Emergency Department." - Joanne
