Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital: "I had a disappointing visit to the St. Thomas ER yesterday. Arrived and 2pm and created a urine sample. I was told to hold on to the sample and go directly to waiting the room. No vitals were taken and I then waited in for 2 hours while I watched several patients wait with chest pain and two patients had severe abdominal pain and one woman was crying. I told the guy at the check in counter that there was a woman in serious pain in the waiting room and he looked at me like I had three eyes. He said ok and not one person ever check on her or the many others in the waiting room. I truly thought this woman was going to pass out from pain. At 4pm I told the front desk I was leaving. They said ok. I asked if I need to check out as they were busy chatting with each other. I signed the release and left. At 6:15 pm I received my phone text link to submit my name and DOB so they could move me from the waiting room to and ER room. If I stayed it would have been over a 4 hour wait. The check-in team was young and had absolutely no concern for the patients in the waiting room. This has not been my experience with St. Thomas ER in the past. " - Barbara

St Thomas Hospital: "Been here for 1.5 hours with my brother and all they have done is check his vitals and say they need blood work from him. He is back in waiting area in a lot of pain but no one here seems to care at all (going on 2 hours now). They drag around and have done this with every other patient in here at this time (about 20 people). I would not want to be brought to this Hospital for a hangnail mush less something serious as his back issue. His Dr told him to get to the ER stat to get help. A complete and utter joke as well as a total waste of time. Looking around at every one, you can see from the looks on their faces that they feel the same way. Extremely slow and bad service, rate them at less than 1 out of 10." - Gil

St Thomas Hospital: "Longer than that we are going o 4 hours and still haven’t been seen or in a room. The woman with me had an episode that has caused her to fall. Not sure if she hit head but headache since along with other things. The staff has been just talking about all the patients and won’t let me come in. Finally, she made them let me come in but sitting here since. What is going on with this hospital and staff " - Sabrina

St Thomas Hospital: "I've gastric outlet obstruction I've been throwing up blood for 2 days.im lightheaded severe pain in stomach and very weak need to be seen ASAP..been trying for hours to get an online appointment for st thomas midtown" - Cheryl

St Thomas Hospital: "Our experience is so bad that I'm posting and haven't even made it into a tx room yet. We waited for almost an hour to get in to have temp, bp taken. Then we had to go back to the waiting room because there were no nurses on duty yet because they are all on different shift change per the nurse that took the vitals. Then finally one hour and forty minutes later finally in a curtain area not even a room we were placed. Now waiting to see how long it takes for someone to come in. We will not be back to this ER again! " - David
